映画「オデッセイ」を観てきた
なんで「オデッセィ」やねん。
「THe Martian」原題がずばり火星人なんだから、それでいいじゃん。
ストーリーは要約すると、映画「アポロ13」と漂流王「ロビンソンクルーソー」の2040年火星版で、楽しみ方のひとつとしてはミュージカルではある。
いや、これはミュージカルだぞ。特に昭和世代への70年代のロックミュージカルだ。
ストーリーと歌詞も含めて曲が実によくマッチしていた。
特にデビッド・ボウイのギターのイントロが聞こえた時にはゾワっとした。どんな曲かはキーになるから言わない。
続いて、いざ決戦！というタイミングでABBAの「Waterloo」がきたのにもニンマリ。ナポレオンにとっての関ケ原の戦いであるウォータールーを、乾坤一擲に引っ掛けていた。
宇宙船のイメージと船内のアクションは「2001年宇宙の旅」をオマージュしているのもまた然り。ここで意味不明な邦題の意図が理解できた。
「2001年宇宙の旅」の原題は「A Space Odyssey」
邦題も「2001年宇宙の旅」にオマージュしているんだね。
全世界の注目と中国を絡めたのは不要なような気もしたけど、USA最高！USA万歳！よりは全世界の幸せを望んだ方が全て上手くいくのだろうね。日本は完全スルーで田中も山田も出てこなかったけど、日本はハワイのとなりの州だからいいのだろう。
今のアメリカの…やめておこう
それと基本的な科学知識があったほうが断然楽しめる。でもその割には、科学的、物理的に酷い矛盾もあって理解に苦しんだけど。
このストーリーなら、ロン・ハワードに描かせたら完璧だっただろうにね。
オタクの集まりで金の亡者のNASAを皮肉っぽく描いているのも愉快だった。
メカ的な描き方や火星の映像はなかなかだったよ。
スタートレック的なちょっとした侘び寂びがあればもっと良かったかな。
